The MAC Knife Japanese Vegetable Cleaver isn't your typical cleaver. Unlike it's cousin, the meat cleaver, which typically has a thick and heavy blade to hack through bone, this cleaver has a thin, double-edged, 1.9 mm spine designed for slicing and chopping up fruits and vegetables. The straight edge of the knife allows for the full length of the Molybdenum steel blade to come into contact with the cutting board so you don't have to rock the knife. This multi-purpose cleaver can be also used to cut meat and seafood, just keep it away from gnarly bones.
